Broached Console
Jon Goulder
This console is the fourth generation Goulder stretching his technical furniture creation capabilities to the limits; the skin of the object becomes the structural mechanism, the hide becomes exoskeletal.
All the other works in the collection represent a mixture of reflection on generations gone by with Goulder’s particular aesthetic and craftsmanship.
Whilst the work does not reinterpret a previous era it does pick up on the lines of the freestanding mirror.
